EVERYTHING ABOUT SWIMMING
Swimming is an activity that burns lot of calories, is easy on joints, support your body weight and builds muscle strength and endurance. It also improves cardiovascular fitness and refreshes you in summer. For a sprinter, the first month should consist of endurance training, second month should consist of power lifting and third month should consist of speed training. At the end of this rigorous training regime, the swimmer gains strength and stamina which are pre-requisites of a swimmer. In addition to this, the diet should include green leafy vegetables, eggs, milk, meat, some energy drinks and protein shake.
GUIDELINES FOR SUCCESS:
· Overall fitness is very important for
students. All swimmers must do a mix of running, core training and general
strengthening exercise.
· To swim fast one must first learn to
swim slow. Slow swimming helps to improve balance technique and rhythm in
water.
· Training for swimming is repetition
based. Swimmer must train minimum 90 minutes per session at least 4 to 6 times
a week.
GAME PLAN:
When you’re in water you should forget that
people might be watching and all you should take care about is getting to the
other side of the pool and touching the wall. You can just let go and fly.
Swimming
is not different from being in school or workplace, the most studious student
doesn’t necessarily get the best grade, yet you work hard.
Success
is a product of talent and hardwork, but first you have to enjoy the ride.
